IMLOG2 Function

Basic Description

The Excel IMLOG2 function calculates the base 2 logarithm of a supplied complex number

Syntax: IMLOG2( inumber )

where the inumber argument is a complex number.

 

Excel Imlog2 Function Examples

In the example below, the Excel Imlog2 function is used find the base 2 logarithm of different complex numbers. The formulas are shown in the spreadsheet on the left and the results are shown in the spreadsheet on the right.

Imlog2 Function Errors

If you get an error from the Excel Imlog2 Function, this is likely to be one of the following:

#NUM! Occurs if the supplied inumber argument is not recognised as a complex number
#NAME? Occurs when Analysis ToolPak add-in is not enabled in your Excel.
